We are planning a beta test of a new program aimed squarely at restaurants and retailers! Interested? Read on.

The cost will be absorbed by advertising placed on the back of your custom designed POS rolls. Are you willing to contribute some sweat equity to acquire fifteen (15) cartons of fifty rolls (50)? Ideally, this shipment is about a year’s supply of POS rolls, or less.

So what do you need to do to get the rolls? Supply us a contact list of potential advertisers for the printing on the back of your POS rolls. We will contact the businesses on your list and ask for their participation. These potential advertisers could be non-competing business associates, wholesale (food) suppliers, equipment suppliers, etc. We require at least 12 participating advertisers and can accommodate as many as 24 participating advertisers.

By now, almost everyone in North America has at least seen the odd square with the pixelated style pattern. This is the QR code and this little symbol is more powerful than most of us could have ever imagined. If you own a business and are not using these custom icons on your labels, documents and promotional pieces, you may want to ask yourself why not.

New Web Site Coming …

Yes, it’s true. I am in the process of making the web site cleaner, less cluttered and laser focused on delivering the CCG message. I am dreading some aspects of the build; however, it is an over due bit of work.

In keeping with my commitment to more interactivity, I will be adding lots of ways to connect with me and CCG on the social web, plus widgets and some “push” technology to help feature my Twitter account feeds within the CSS of the new web. It will be a couple of weeks before it goes live. I sure do hope you folks like the new look!

New CPA Standards no longer “new”

Every business in Canada should be using updated, CPA (Canadian Payments Association) compliant cheque systems by now. If your organization is not compliant, you may begin to see charges against your bank account for processing outdated documents.

The CPA has extended the “grace period” until September 2nd, 2008. This was the final, “official” allowance for non-compliance with new cheque standards. This is good news, especially since the CPA (Canadian Bank’s policy body) have done nothing to communicate this compliance issue to the general public or Canadian businesses!

It is way past the time to act. I had several new clients last year who were still using “old, non-compliant cheques”. Consider your company needs carefully & order your cheques accordingly. CCG is committed to making your transition seamless.
